Project Transformation provides two key services:

  1. Leadership development and career/ministry exploration opportunities for college-aged young adults through paid, summer internships.
  2. Community-oriented summer day camp programming for children (grades K-6) and Junior High school students (grades 7-9).

Our young adults provide this second service, which gives them authentic, hands-on experiences in leading high-quality, structured programs for children and allowing them to learn from the children, as well.

Our programs are strategically housed at sites in communities that are experiencing marginalization. This partnership between the host churches, schools and Project Transformation Central Texas is designed so that churches can make new connections and form meaningful relationships of mutuality with families in their immediate neighborhood.

The lasting impact of our programs comes through the strong relationships that are built between the children and youth participants and our young adults.

Our young adults serve as positive role models and take an interest in the holistic growth and development of each child. Our goal is for our participants to graduate high school, hopefully go to college, and then return as summer program staff with Project Transformation. As children and youth grow up in our programs, attend college, and return with a commitment to influence their communities, the multiplying effects of Project Transformation will occur.
