Casey Mellody-Camacho

Casey began working with Project Transformation as an undergraduate at Southern Methodist University. She was a reading tutor for the after-school program at the Oak Cliff UMC site in 2001, and a summer intern in 2002.  Her experiences with Project Transformation have sparked a passion for social justice issues and a deeper confirmation to explore non-profit ministry as a vocation.  She graduated this May from Perkins School of Theology with a Master’s in Theological Studies and hopes to put that theological education to good use while serving on summer staff at Project Transformation.

Casey is thrilled and grateful to be a part of such a vital organization where her love for children, passion for education, and interest in theology connect.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Gerard (also a former PT intern), watching movies, reading fiction, and playing with her three precious nieces.

Brendan Kleiboer

Brendan came to PT as an intern in the fall of 2007 after graduating from the University of Michigan. He has served PT as a site coordinator for both the after-school and summer programs at Oak Cliff UMC, and this May has transitioned into a staff position in support of the summer program.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, Brendan misses his cold, snowy winters, but has immensely enjoyed his last 2 years in Dallas. With plans to become a pediatrician one day, he hopes to be in medical school in the fall of 2010, and will forever value the lessons he has learned about childhood development and leadership through his work with PT.
