Trips for Kids - Project Transformation

Trips for Kids Project Transformation is a non-profit that provides mountain bike outings for youth that would not otherwise be exposed to these types of activities. In 1986, Marilyn Price founded Trips for Kids Marin to serve San Francisco Bay Area communities. Because of the success of Trips for Kids in the San Francisco Bay Area, she promoted national expansion by looking for individuals and groups who have a committed interest in helping low-income kids and who know that cycling is a great experience to share with kids.

In 2004, TFK Project Transformation was formed to advance the Project's goal of addressing the needs of urban children with the energy of young adults, the strength of church-supported institutions, and the untapped resources of inner city neighborhoods.  Project Transformation is supported by more than 80 United Methodist churches.
